[SC] OpenSCManager FAILED 5: Access is denied.
or above error might arrive on SC manager for any operation like Start or Stop or Delete of a given service.

Resolution
Running services.msc commands for Windows service require Admin privileges.
Its recommended to get Admin access to execute these commands.
Kindly run your CLI/Command prompt in Admin Mode to fix the issue.
Once done you shall see all the commands working !

This solution doesn’t work most of the time because anyone who doesn’t know about run as administrator shouldn’t and wouldn’t be messing around with services.
It shouldn’t even be listed as solved.
This solution could do more damage than good.
Hi Babak- Thanks for your comments!. Agree. The above option is for those who have admin access. Many times even though if developer has admin access, they may still get this error. In such cases Command prompt should be open as Administrator.
